This was taken in February 2004, at a very volitile time in Haiti, just days before President Aristead's departure. It is taken in Petit-Goave. It was late in the afternoon and there was small groups of students sitting near the sea discussing their lessons. This young man sat alone with his school book studying away. The scene was so contrary to the feeling in all of Haiti while I was there.
